✧ hi! i'm lauren!
✿ i'm a recent graduate of New York University with a bachelor's in journalism and political science (with a minor in child/adolescent mental health studies), in addition to receiving university honors!
✧ my passion for photography came from wanting to master the 2013/2014 Tumblr aesthetic, where every object was worthy of a photograph and everyone had the inclination to be “artsy”. wanting to be creative and expressive was something that i always wanted to achieve, but i didn’t imagine how in love i would be with photography because of it. learning to appreciate how exciting and innovative photography can be really allowed me to explore every creative outlet i am capable of, and i love being able to show the world my perspective of how i see everything.
✿ my passion for journalism came from being a part of my high school's yearbook staff and reporting on all kinds of stories across our school. now graduating college, I've grown to love the field immensely and have been so fortunate to report on so many amazing people-- from meeting fabulous burlesque performers and fashion industry players, to creating video projects on supporting local thrift stores and writing for new york fashion week, i know that journalism is the right path for me!
✧ when i'm not taking pictures or writing an article, i love going to museums, watching true crime documentaries, listening to music, going to concerts (huge harry styles fangirl), and growing my tote bag collection!
